Gamma Phi Beta
South Bay
Alumnae Chapter
It is never too late to join Gamma Phi Beta!
Alumnae Initiates are women who join Gamma Phi Beta as an alumnae
member. They may be women who never attended college, who attended a
school that did not have a Gamma Phi Beta chapter or who didn't join a National
Panhellenic Conference sorority while in college. An alumnae initiate may be
any woman who meets the high standards of Gamma Phi Beta membership.
She may be a friend, neighbor, colleague, or relative of a Gamma Phi Beta
member. She may be an outstanding community leader, professional woman,
recent graduate or homemaker. Alumnae of a local sorority that have been
accepted as a Gamma Phi Beta colony are also eligible to become alumnae
initiates. Some alumnae initiates are women that had to withdraw from the new
membership process due to extenuating circumstances. After a short training
period, the candidate may be initiated at a nearby collegiate chapter, and share
the joy of being a Gamma Phi. These women will enjoy new friendships,
involvement within the community, and benefits of sorority membership.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming an Alumnae Initiate,
please contact the President of the South Bay Alumnae Chapter at
LBredhot4usc@aol.com.
